About Valour Consultancy

Valour Consultancy is a UK-based provider of premium market intelligence and consultancy services, founded in 2012. We specialise in generating insight and thought leadership linked to the adoption and development of technology and services destined for the transportation sector. Today, our business is segmented into four key areas: airports & borders, aviation, land mobility and maritime.

Our services range from in-depth and insightful market reports built around travel and regular interaction with stakeholders (including our participant program), to proprietary custom and consultancy where our team of analysts work alongside clients to reinforce decision making, drive product development and forge strategy.

Like many, we’re now embracing AI, recognising its potential to generate efficiencies in our data collection and report production processes. However, we believe our people will continue to be the primary point of differentiation, combining the power of AI with their knowledge and expertise to steer queries, validate results and generate insight.

We’re privileged to be able to name some of the world’s most reputable firms as clients all of whom value the quality of our work and actionable insights we leave behind. These vendors are located all over the world and span the entire value chain; from network operators and service integrators to hardware manufacturers, end-users and investment firms.

Since inception, the company has grown rapidly and achieved significant growth year-on-year. This was formally recognised in April 2020 when we were honoured with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the category of International Trade; the highest accolade awarded to British businesses. This was subsequently repeated in 2023, when we were awarded the first ever King’s Award for Enterprise.​

This means that we are up-front and honest about our research processes. If we make any assumptions when developing market forecasts, we are not afraid to share them. Our methodology is always clearly explained and relies upon a variety of sources. A cornerstone of our analysis is primary research obtained from personal interviews with marketing professionals, product managers and various other contributors from across the value chain. This transparent approach delivers results you can rely on.

Clients are invited to assist with the report scoping process. By actively encouraging feedback at every project stage – from inception through to delivery of preliminary data and beyond – we provide intelligence that is unrivalled in accuracy. Importantly, this yields insights you can trust. Unless we have express permission to do so, we do not quote interviewees in our reports. Information obtained is used on an aggregated basis to establish market trends, sizes and likely future directions.

TIME

We recognise there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach when it comes to conducting research. We always devote the requisite amount of time to complete projects thoroughly. It is often the case that the more dynamic and nascent markets require a quick turnaround to ensure information is not already out of date before it is published. That said, there are many other sectors where nothing but a comprehensive deep-dive will suffice. We will happily spend six months or more on a project where necessary.
