Fleet data visualisation toolsAccess Granular Maritime Connectivity Fleet Data

As an extension to our comprehensive coverage of the maritime connectivity sector, we have launched a quarterly tracker service. The tracker equips subscribers with reliable, real-time fleet data and insight to help stay on top of emerging opportunities and threats.

All fleet data is segmented by key differentiation points such as region, vessel type, connectivity type, shipping company and service provider. Alongside quantitative data sets, each tracker update features qualitative commentary analysis to provide context to the figures.

The purpose of this service is to provide even greater granularity than our annual maritime connectivity report. While the full report provides analysis of macro trends, the tracker looks at the market on a more tactical basis and covers news from a micro-perspective.

Tracker methodology

Our dedicated maritime analysts regularly speak directly with end-users, including operators, ship owners and ship management companies. This helps us understand who provides their connectivity services, what services are included, what the service parameters are and what is coming up from a strategic digitalisation perspective.

The first tracker update included a data depository of around 8,000 vessels. This will gradually increase until we have exhausted the entire commercial VSAT maritime landscape. Initially, the service covers the merchant (container, bulk, general cargo and tanker), offshore energy and passenger markets.
